BCCI announces Indian team for World Cup 2023
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has Announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023. As per tradition, Rohit Sharma will lead the team, while Hardik Pandya will serve as the vice-captain.
The Batting line-up remains as expected, including Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer, with KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan handling the Wicketkeeping duties. Rahul is expected to start in the playing eleven, with Ishan Kishan acting as the backup to the Karnataka batsman.
In the fast bowling department, Jasprit Bumrah has taken charge, along with Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. Among all-rounders, Hardik Pandya is partnered with Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav will take charge in the spin department.
